Day 1:  Lima - Huaraz
Lima-Huaraz by car or bus. Accommodation at the chosen hotel.
Day 2:  Huaraz
Day at leisure for last minute arrangements.
Day 3:  Huaraz - Cashapampa
Continental breakfast. Bus or truck from Huaraz to Cashapampa. Walk to campsite near thermal springs.
Day 4:  Cahapampa – Lake Jatuncocha
Easy walk up the Santa Cruz valley as far as the Jatuncocha. Lake camp site.
Day 5:  Jatuncocha - Morococha
Climb up to the Punta Union pass, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and descend into the Huaripampa valley to the campsite at Morococha.
Day 6:
From Morococha, walk through meadows, passing lakes and stopping at Paria for the night.
Day 7:
From Paria leisurely walk as far as Vaqueria. Camp site.
Day 8:
We climb through the Quinoal (polylepis) woods to the Portachuelo pass with spectacular views of the peaks towering over us, then descend to the lakes at Llanganuco. Bus or truck back to Huaraz. Accommodation at the chosen hotel.
Day 9:
Continental breakfast. Return to Lima by bus or car.
