Day 1: San Jose
Meet and greet at the airport. You will be taken to your hotel.
Day 2 & 3: San Jose - Tortuguero
Early pick up at your hotel for a scenic drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park with a stop to view the waterfalls followed by a nature filled journey through the lush and exotic Tortuguero Canals. Your naturalist guide will inform you about amazing wildlife. During turtle season (July to August ) there are tours to view the turtles nesting (extra cost ). Tours to Tortuguero National Park and some hikes are included. (B-L-D)
Day 4 & 5: Tortuguero - Arenal Volcano Area
Fly from Tortuguero to San Jose where the naturalist guide will take you to the Arenal Volcano. Along the way you will stop at Sarchi (a great place to shop ) for shopping. While in Arenal there will be a chance to tour the volcano area and to soak in the thermal hot springs . (B-L-D)
Day 6 - 7 - 8: Arenal - Guanacaste Beaches
On the way to the beach area, you will take a boat tour on the Tempisque River at Palo Verde National Park exploring the wet-lands. In the afternoon, you will be enjoying a well needed down time at the beach. Optional (not included ): fishing, snorkeling, horseback riding, scuba diving, and surfing. (B)
Day 9 &10: Guanacaste - Monteverde Cloud Forest
A great change of scenery awaits as you travel towards the cloud forest. A stop will be made to experience the large cat sanctuary (includes guided tours of Monteverde Reserve, Hummingbird Gallery and the Cheese Factory, a fine example of the local Quaker Heritage). Adventure tour to the Sky-Walk and a canopy ride. Night tour of the cloud forest and frog sanctuary all with a naturalist guide. (B-L-D)
Day 11 - 12 - 13 Monteverde - Manuel Antonio
Learn about the importance of protecting the macaws as you tour the Carara National Park and hear your bilingual guide explaining the need to save the mangroves as you visit the area of Quepos/Manuel Antonio, one of the most visited areas of Costa Rica, it is one of only few remaining ocean tropical rain forests. Here you are almost guaranteed to see the white face Monkeys up close.
Day 14: Transfer to airport. End of services.
