From the arched multi-tiered hotel lobby, you descend down six flights of steps to the La Luz dining room, bordered on two sides by large plate-glass windows. Decorated in exotic hardwoods, it overlooks a blue- tiled swimming pool on grounds bound by tropical blooms. Sunlight streams in during the day, and in the evening guests enjoy a spectacular view of the twinkling lights in the Santa Ana valley below. The gourmet experience amid the luxurious ambience is enough to satisfy the most discriminating visitor. |

| La Luz, has an Italian chef, but don't expect to find any Italian items on the menu. As a proponent of the New World Cuisine, the chef uses fresh regional products such as cilantro, papaya, banana, avocado, hearts of palm, and sweet peppers in his dishes to deliver unique combinations.
Splendidly appointed dining room, exceptional waiters and excellent food, and it's no wonder La Nacion, Costa Rica's leading newspaper, recently selected La Luz as the best restaurant in the country. |
