Located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, near the town of Curubande, in the province of Guanacaste. The Hacienda borders the popular Rincón de la Vieja National Park. Since 1985, Hacienda Guachipelin has also been hosting a steady flow of visitors, helping them enjoy the natural beauty of the ranch and the neighboring national park.
Hacienda Guachipelin is a cattle farm dedicated to raising beef cattle and work horses. It is also dedicated to the conservation of the dry tropical forest and to commercial reforestation. In the last years it has participated in activities such as eca-tourism, adventure tourism.
As far natural attractions, we have rivers, waterfalls, natural pools, thermal waters, volcanic mud, tropical forests, birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and more. In the National Park exist countless attractions, more rivers, waterfalls, boiling mud pools, vapor vents, thermal waters, sulfur springs, a volcanic crater and a lake on the mountain summit. |
