Maya Ruins of Guatemala Full Day Here is an opportunity of a lifetime - visit the world famous Maya Site in Guatemala and move from temple to temple and plaza to plaza, taking in the history of this remarkable site, once captured and dominated by Caracol in Belize, for almost 140 years, after the wars of 562 A.D.
Guests board a short flight from San Pedro to the Int'l Airport for Immigration clearing, followed by immediate connection onto Flores, Peten in Guatemala, where the majestic Maya ruins of Tikal (Maya for Place of Voices) awaits them.
This site is nestled in the dense jungles of Peten and has been extensively excavated and restored, making it one of the most recognized and impressive of all Maya Ruins. Guides accompany the road journey to and from the site as well as provide fully guided services while at the site.
A hot local lunch is provided. Guests return to Belize International Airport and a then a quick hop to San Pedro.

Tulum, these cliff-side ruins create a dramatic vision,
keeping quite watch over the white sandy beaches and blue Caribbean sea below.
The name "Tulum" comes from the Yucatec word for fence, trench or wall, and was given to the site in recent times because of the wall surrounding it. It is likely that the city's original name was " Zama " or "place of the dawn". This is an ideal name for the city. Sunrise in the eastern horizon over the ancient city is an unforgettable vision.
Tulum is the only walled city the Maya ever built on the Caribbean coast. Unique among other Mayan cities, Tulum was still a thriving trading community when first visited by the Spanish. Spanish sailors were very impressed with Tulum and reported it to be as big as Seville .
