There is something at Blackbird Caye Resort for everyone. Sunfish sailboats, kayaks, and more. You can be as busy as you like, learning to sail or slow down and read a book among the 166 acres that encompass our resort. All of Blackbird Caye Resort's private individual cabanas face the Caribbean Sea. The cabanas have air-conditioning, private porches with chairs, hammock, an interior seating area, double or queen beds, a private bathroom with shower, hot water and offers daily maid service.
The fast one-and-a-quarter hour trip is both exciting and scenic. As civilization disappears, pristine beaches, coral reefs and warm, clear water appears. You have arrived. You are at Blackbird Caye Resort... the excitement continues, although at a slower pace.
At the foot of our 166 acre resort are the southern and main working docks, extending like fingers into the crystal Caribbean Sea. The southern dock is located in front of our seaside bar and is used for relaxing, swimming, sipping on your favorite drink, and late night star gazing. At the front of the main dock is our huge air-conditionined palapa style restaurant and lounge area. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner is served at your table with a choice of turf or surf. Your evening meal is complete with home-made dessert. Juices and water are available all day and appetizers are served before
Blackbird Caye Resort offers true world class diving. The diving sites are considered some of the best in the Western Caribbean. Turneffe Atoll is the only Caribbean Atoll made up of dozens of mangrove islands which are the juvenile nurseries for coral reefs and also means many schools of fish. Each day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a two single tank morning dives and a single tank afternoon dive. Except for the Blue Hole Day & the Elbow dive, we return to shore between each dive. Our captain pilots the boat to you upon your ascent so there is no tiring swim back to the boat. Our divemasters rinse your gear each evening and sets it up for you after breakfast. No need to worry about it once you arrive on the island. There are 14 local dive sites with an average time of 12 minutes to reach them. Some of the popular dive spots you will see are Our dive shop is equipped w/dive gear & 2 compressors. Our staff of professionally trained dive masters & instructors will make every effort to fulfill your diving preferences.
The main dock, with the dive and snorkel shop, is the natural hub of the resort. This is where you will board the boat for diving, snorkeling, fishing and leisure trips. When you look below the docks, you will see marine life such as tarpon, , bonefish, barracuda, stingrays, nurse sharks and much, much more. At the front of the main dock is our huge palapa syle restaurant and lounge area. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, while dinner is served at your table with a choice of turf or surf.
