in a 330 acre private nature reserve set along the banks
of the Macal River in the foothills of the Maya Mountains ,
it is well staffed and features spacious lawns and manicured walkways
surrounding the cottages, dining and recreational areas. The miles
of reserve trails are well maintained and offer an exciting view

by American Express and the Caribbean Hotel Association. he jungle
lodge is comprised of 19 comfortable palm-thatched cottage rooms
and two luxury suites nestled along the riverside in a setting
of unmatched beauty and tranquility. Guests can interact with
nature by exploring the river and miles
of well maintained trails , Mayan temple sites
, and through activities such as hiking, canoeing, horseback
riding, mountain biking and bird watching. Wildlife abounds, and
some 250 species of birds have been sighted within the reserve.

Chaa Creek Cottages
are set along the bank of the Macal River in the foothills of
the Maya Mountains of Western Belize, and provide a perfect
compromise between comfort and a true wilderness experience.
Each palm-thatched cottage has Mexican tiled floors, large mahogany
beds, original artwork and private bathrooms with hot showers.
The cuisine features a mixture of Caribbean, Mexican and Belizean
dishes served under an enormous umbrella of thatch in our large,
airy restaurant with a temperature controlled wine cellar. The
dining room, bar and cottages are all constructed from local
hardwoods and thatched with bay leaf palm.
