All packages begin with a pick up at Belize airport or at a Belize Hotel.  In route to The Lodge at Chaa Creek we will visit the Belize Zoo.  The Belize Zoo is home to over 100 species of native Belizean animals including the tapir, black howler monkey, scarlet macaw and jaguar. Belize City a Wildlife habitat know as the Belize Zoo created as sanctuary for the country's  indigenous species. The Belize Zoo was first created for animals which were injured or donated to the facility and could not be returned to the wild. This is home for am impressive array of Large Cats, Primates, Reptiles and Birds, which gives you the opportunity of viewing Belize's prolific wildlife in on location. The Belize Zoo tour could be done on your way into the Cayo District and Mountain Pine Ridge or on your way out.

Day 02:  Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve - Rio Frio Caves - River Swimming
Morning from your hotel to Mountain Pine Ridge where you will have a chance to see the natural beauty of this reserve. Hidden Valley Falls, also known as Thousand-Foot Falls, is a routine stop on many tours. It is believed to be the highest waterfall in Central America and is actually over 1,500 ft to the bottom. A viewing platform overlooks the falls. There is a short scenic trail around the escarpment for taking in the valley view. The waterfalls are in the heart of the Belize Mountain Pine Ridge and the Vaca Plateau. This tour has also the Rio on Pools and the Rio Frio Caves. Acres of citrus, scenic vistas, then a ranger station welcomes you to the reserve. Hundreds of needle-like pine stretch heavenward as you rumble along red-tinted roads reminiscent of Georgia's red clay. Amazing natural attractions lie ahead. Anticipation builds on the short walk to Rio Frio Cave. Your jaw may drop upon first seeing the cave's 65-foot-high mouth. Eerie light spills over boulders and stalactites at the half-mile-long cave. Cool off in mini pools and soak up scenery at close by Rio On Pools, equally as impressive. An eye-boggling 1,000-foot splashdown can be found at Hidden Valley Falls-also know as Thousand Foot Falls-in the Mountain Pine Ridge area. (road conditions permitting) Watch water disappear into the jungle from a mountain top viewing area. Bring along your binoculars, as there is much exotic flora and fauna to see in this tour, these species are endemic too this extremely rough, but beautiful part of Belize.

Day 03: Canoe Ride - Belize airport or hotel
Morning visit to the Natural History Center and the Butterfly Farm. At the Butterfly Farm you will enjoy view all the butterflies in Belize and how they live in the jungle. Follow by a canoe ride down the Macal River. The canoe ride thought the beautiful Macal River will give you an inside of the tropical jungle flora and fauna as well as inform you of the old ways on accessing the Cayo area. Return to Belize City  hotel or Municipal Airport for an approximately arrival at 4:30pm. (B-L)
