| Day 1: |
Transfer from San Pedro Sula to Trujillo. The Caribbean coast of Honduras is one of the richest regions in popular culture, contemporary history and tropical ecological diversity. It is the region that possesses the greatest agricultural development. Along the way, we visit a Banana plantation located on the banks of the Aguán River. En route we will stop at interesting places to stretch. Overnight in Trujillo. |
| Day 2: |
Early morning excursion to the Capiro and Calentura National Park, which is set on the mountain right behind Trujillo. The mountain offers a great view of the Trujillo Bay, one of the most beautiful in the country. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the Caribbean Sea or to take a bath in a river. Overnight in Trujillo. |
| Day 3: |
Morning transfer to La Ceiba. La Ceiba is a city of amazing diversity and energy. We take a city tour and lunch. After lunch we will visit the Butterfly House, a 4,000 square feet enclosure that is filled with butterflies, tropical plants and flowers. And a Serpentarium, an educational reptile exhibit that is home to many tropical snakes. Overnight La Ceiba. |
| Day 4: |
Early transfer to La Unión. Here we change our vehicle for a "burra" or "donkey" (man powered railway car) to the Cuero Salado Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Centre. Then we board a boat, which transports us into the tropical forest, through the various canals, estuaries and mangrove-bordered lagoons of the Salado River as we watch the wildlife. Overnight La Ceiba. |
| Day 5: |
Today we will take a Cangrejal River jungle hike. The hike will take us into the Pico Bonito National Park and the beautiful surroundings of the Cangrejal River. This area is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, we will learn about the tropical rainforest, its many inhabitants and bio-diversity. Overnight La Ceiba. |
| Day 6: |
Today is left free so you can explore one of the most vibrant cities in Central America, La Ceiba. Extra day activities can be organised at an additional costs. Overnight La Ceiba. |
| Day 7: |
Leisure time during the morning to enjoy the atmosphere of La Ceiba. Afternoon transfer to the La Ceiba - San Pedro Sula direct bus or to the La Ceiba airport.
