Day01: Upon arrival transfer to the chosen hotel for accommodations in Guatemala City
Day02: Departs from your hotel to the country's eastern desert area and on the border of Honduras . After crossing the border, continue to the impressive maya ruins of Copan . Copan is dated 775 AC, and considered a cosmic observation Center, Here you can admire the altars, magnificent Maya stelaes, ball courts, hieroglyphic engraved stairs and structures spread in 2500 block area. Visit the New museum of Copan where you will have the chance to see a replica of the Rosa Lile temple. At the proper time transfer to the chosen hotel for accommodations.
Day03: After breakfast, Continue your trip to Quiriguá, Izabal. A fabulous Maya Observatory, where you can admire the fine stelea surounding the small plaza and temples, inmersed in a tropical forest, located in the middle of a banana plantation. The tallest stelae of the Maya World is located here, more than 35 feet high, also zoomorphics beautifully worked in sandstone. In the afternoon transfer to Puerto Barrios for accommodations at the chosen hotel nearby Puerto Barrios .
Day04: Departs from your hotel on a motorboat and start a nice journey on the Rio Dulce, our first stop will be the village of Livingston, where most of the population are desendants of african inhabitants from other caribbean
areas, they impregnate the ambience with their caribbean musical rythm, then on up to the river, where you will enjoy the nature through 20 miles, admiring a wide variety of exotic birds and tropical vegetation. Where the manatee is preserved at the Choco
n Machacas Reservation Park , after a short visit, enjoy imagining the english pirates' attacks to the spanish fort of San Felipe de Lara, which was strategically built to guard the entrance of the Lake Izabal . After lunch ( not included) return to the hotel for accommodations.
Day05: In the morning visit the San Gil Reserve located close to the hotel, where you will have the opportunity to see the fauna and flora of the hill. Return to the hotel and at the proper time transfer back to Guatemala City for accomodations at the chosen hotel.
Day06: Early transfer to the International Airport to aboard flight to Flores, upon arrival our representative will meet you there and will take you to Tikal National Park, the Great City of the Maya Civilization, where you will be in touch with a millenial culture, visiting the Main Plaza with the famous Great Jaguar Temple, the Masks Temple and North Acropolis, Lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch visit the local museum. In the afternoon transfer to the chosen hotel for accommodations.
Day08: Departure to one of the most recent restoration nearby Tikal , the archaeological site of Yaxha y Topoxte, located on the Lagoon Yaxhá and the Topoxte Island . After a short boat ride from Yaxha you will have the chance to see the flora from the top of the temples in Topoxte. Lunch at the Camp El Sombrero. After lunch transfer to the Airport for flt back to Guatemala city .
