Day 1. SAN JUAN
San Juan . Arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to El Parque Apart-hotel. Accommodation. Departure to take a brief city tour: Juan Victoria Auditorium, Sarmiento's house. Lunch with and entree of a green salad, with olives and raw ham, spinach crepes with mushrooms, and alcayota sweet with nuts for dessert. Wines from Cavas de Zonda, Chardonay and Merlot wineries. In the afternoon, attendance to the show called
"Meeting with Sarmiento", where the magic the theatre enlightens Sarmiento's natal home. Dinner will consist of Cream Trout, dessert and wine.
Day 2. SAN JUAN
Breakfast. Departure towads El Zonda gulch in order to visit the Earthquake Center , the car-racing circuit and the Ullúm dike. Visit to Cavas de Zonda wine cellar mainly dedicated to champagne's production. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to
Viñas de Segisa wine cellar, which was founded in 1925 and produces a careful selection of fine wines. Dinner at the wine cellar.
Day 3. SAN JUAN - CALINGASTA - BARREAL
Breakfast. Departure from San Juan City for entering into the pre-cordillera, guided by San Juan River courses up to Calingasta town, with a brief visit to its historical Chapel. Then we will continue towards Barreal town. Arrival and accommodation at San Eduardo inn. There, we will be welcomed with lamb barbecue and authentic Sanjuaninas empanadas (meat pies), salads and regional desserts, everything served with good wine from the province. After a worthy rest,
departure in the late hours for visiting El Leoncito National Park, and when the rays of light end, we will enjoy of an sky observation at "Casleo" Astronomic observatory. Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 4. BARREAL
Breakfast. This magnificent zone settled in a valley between the pre-cordillera and the cordillera, has the ideal weather to cultivate aromatic plants, so this morning will be dedicated to visit some of fthe farms specialized on that kind of crops, as well as homemade-sweets factories. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure in an excursion ascending to a part of Cordón del Tontal. Dinner.
Day 5. BARREAL - USPALLATA - MENDOZA
Breakfast. Departure towards Mendoza city, visiting on the way some of the main points that were used as military base for the Andes Army. Arrival to Uspallata town and lunch. We will continue to reach Mendoza city. Accommodation at NH Cordillera hotel. Late in the afternoon, when the sun hides through the mountains, Mendoza gets a different appearance, a good opportunity to take a nocturnal city tour ascending up to De La Gloria Hill, from where you will
have a beautiful view of the illuminated city, and also visiting squares and pedestrian streets. Dinner at 1884 Restaurant, at Trapiche wine cellar.
Day 6. MENDOZA
Breakfast. Full day excursion in Tupungato town, placed at the edge of Cordón Del Plata, where we will ascend up to the monastery and shelter ´El Cóndor´ at 2400 mts. above the sea level. There we will spend an interesting country day; meanwhile lunch is being prepared, you will have time at leisure to participate of some of the optional activities, such as trekking to the abandoned gold, talc and quartz mines, or horse-ridings by the
Piedmont knolls in company of a muleteer guide. After dessert, we challenge you to join a taba (typical game). Of course, there will be an award for the winner. On the return, we will visit a wine cellar at Tupungato city. Then arrival to Mendoza city, and dinner.
Day 7. MENDOZA
Breakfast. Departure for taking an excursion to know the origin of wine. During the trip, you will be able to walk through vineyards, and to learn how this delicious elixir arises. Lunch at the wine cellar with five types of wine to taste. Brief course of wine-sampling. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner.
Day 8. MENDOZA - BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport to take the return flight.
