A good way to travel through Argentina to tourist destinations is with a car.  The independence and comfort offered added by this means of transportation is a road network of more than 38,000 kilometers, which makes access possible to the most interesting tourist destinations of the country.
    In regards to the expressway conditions that surround the principal cities they are extended and fast, although the tend to narrow out and loose it's quality the further you get away from the metropolis. The rural roads that follow it are not found to be in good conditions neither are they well indicated with signs. The expressways are privatized therefore from stretch of roads to each span you have to pay a toll. All cities and highways have an abundance of gas stations, but it is wise to fill your gas if you are driving to isolated zones. In Argentina the gas is known as nafta .
While driving in Argentina it is recommendable not to surpass the speed limit and to obey all the transit signs. Seeing that bribing is common if you receive a traffic ticket from a police officer, it is convenient not to argue it and accept the fine. You must use your seat belt. It is prohibited to make left hand turns on avenues.  It is only allowed where a left hand signal at stoplights indicate that you may turn.
     In cities the maximum velocity is 40 k/h and 60 k/h on the avenues. In rapid routes the maximum speed permitted is 120 k/h, while on the highways the maximum reaches up to 80 k/h.
     Driving in a city like Buenos Aires can be vastly chaotic, due to the quantity of vehicles and the narrowness of some streets. In general drivers are aggressive and there is much disorder that exists. There is very little or almost no respect for the pedestrian. You should drive defensively and have much precaution.
